Runner From Hell Some Runners are Tough Some Runners are Insane Some are Both Year 2008 01/01/08 to 12/31/08 Runner from Hell applications are being taken for the 2008 year.  The RFH  is a group of fun loving insane runners who at times like to go beyond the marathon distance.   Membership is national but it seems we all have certain ultras in common.  We currently have members in SC, NC, GA, FL, TN, OH, DE, MD, TX and WA.  The "Heathen" resides in Washington State and keeps us all informed of what is going on out there (well actually he has fell off the side of the earth as I have not heard from him in years. .  The RFH group and associates  puts on some quality events including the Big Butt 50K, , The Landsford Canal 50, The Moonlight Boogie 50, Crowders Mtn. 50 and some not so quality events.    New membership is $30 and you get the famous "RFH" t-shirt.  You are also challenged to get 30 points on the "RFH" point system and if you get 30 points and have the option of purchasing the "RFH" Tour Shirt.  That's not all!  You  have the opportunity to run in some of the Souths  best Ultra events including the difficult but very popular Laurel Valley Ultra   Renewals are $25 and that includes the points competition and the right to purchase the tour shirt..  To remain a "Runner from Hell" in good standing you must at least be an ultra-runner, an ultra-supporter, or know an ultra-runner or a want-to-be ultra runner and pay $25.  For you married runners with Ultra spouses you can get a family membership for $30.  For a shirt add $10 and I will get some made.  Each runner is responsible in keeping up with their points and sending them in with their next years dues.  Your dues keeps some good events insured such as all the RFH events and the Ellerbe Marathon and the Boogie Races Point System: Marathon or Road Ultra 1 point per 10 miles Trail    1.5 points per 10 miles Double Point Races  Uwharrie  40 miler Mid-Night Boogie 50 miler Big Butt 50K Laurel Valley Any RFH Event. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name:_______________________________________Hellname___________________________ Address:_________________________________________________________________________ E-mail Address:__________________________________________________________________ Phone:_____________________Shirt Size:______________AGE:_____________ Mail Application to: Claude Sinclair, RFH, 4573 Old Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 Phone: 803-286-8388 CLSINCLAIR@INFOAVE.NET
