Laurel Valley Trail Ru

Start:   Laurel Valley Trail head.   To reach the Laurel Valley Trail head turn North off of Hwy 11 onto US Hwy 178 (Turning South will take you to Pickens, SC).  Proceed North for about 8.3 miles.   When yol go through Rocky Bottom you should start looking for the bridge going over Eastatoe Creek.  As soon as you go over bridge you will turn left on dirt road and bear right and follow the dirt road and white blazes for about .5 mile.  You will arrive at the Laurel Valley Trail head parking area.  The trail head starts on a flight of wooden steps to your right.
	Finish: Upper White Water Falls parking area.  Turn North off of Hwy 11 onto Hwy 130 toward Cashews, NC.  Proceed about 10 miles looking for the Upper White Water Falls parking area to the right.   If you are parking your car there on the morning of the race there is a possibility that the gate will be locked.  If the gate is locked there is parking right before the entrance off Hwy 130 on the right.   There will be a National Forest sign there.
IMPORTANT:   You are responsible for arranging your own shuttle from the finish back to your car.  Arrange this prior to race day.   Many have contacted me about a shuttle and I will give out e-mail addresses and you can work it out with someone else.   As far as I know (which ain't far) there will not be a van to pick up runners at the finish as the previous two  years.
